Steadfast
With her traditional rigging and spacious decks, Steadfast is an excellent resource for conducting outdoor educational experiences that are creative and dynamic. Tasks involved in the running of the ship promote the development of individual coordination and strength, teamwork, and the ability to respond to the unexpected. Steadfast also offers an excellent platform for demonstrating mechanical advantage, aerodynamics, navigation, weather, and the concept of stability.
Steadfast is built on the lines of the early 20th century French pilot cutters, which used to stay at sea in all weather awaiting incoming ships in need of a pilot to enter port. She is safe and seaworthy, and ideally constructed for offering small groups of people of all ages a taste of ships and the sea.
Programs can be tailored to suit your particular educational or training requirements, from half-day orientation or sail training sessions to extended coastal passage adventures.
